So, update after starting the cardigan 3 days ago.
Good progress so far, however there is the issue of miscounting stitches and the decorative holes not aligning up. It took me 4 goes for the 5th pattern repeat, taking back and picking the stitches back. The plus side is that the yarn I am using is a lot easier to work with than the one used in the pattern so it wasn't too much of a struggle. 24cm, only 11cm to go before I start decreasing for the arm holes.
As I said, I'm not a particularly fast knitter :-( Definitly slow fashion!
